MENLO PARK, Calif., Oct. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — ThroughPut Inc., the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Supply Chain pioneer that enables companies to detect, prioritize and alleviate dynamic operational bottlenecks in real-time, today announced the appointment of Industrial IoT and Silicon Valley tech venture serial entrepreneur, Seth Page, to Chief Operations Officer and Head of Corporate Development. ThroughPut’s Bottleneck Management Systems (BMS) leverages existing enterprise data for global Fortune 500 companies to enable millions of dollars in savings up to 600x faster for Continuous Improvement Process Experts. Before joining the Executive Team and Board of Directors at ThroughPut, Page was General Manager and Executive Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Channels at Progress (NASDAQ: PRGS), the leading provider of cognitive business application development and digital technologies for global enterprises, following the acquisition of DataRPM by Progress in early 2017 and his subsequent promotions.

“We are excited to have an Industrial IoT executive of Seth’s caliber join our leadership team,” said Ali Raza, ThroughPut’s Founder and CEO. “Seth brings the unique combination of technology-centric operations, corporate development, business development and channels expertise. He has already identified and prioritized the best value-added investors and strategic partners for scaling markets quickly, as well as defined the roadmap to best capture growth pockets and revenue streams in industrial operations for large global conglomerates, manufacturers, and mid-cap businesses being disrupted by game-changing technologies. His extensive experience in building companies, funding ventures, launching successful products, scaling Go-to-Market strategies, leveraging partners, and navigating liquidity events at seven previous successful startups is a timely addition to the ThroughPut journey. Seth is already instrumental in leading ThroughPut’s Series-A funding as we wrap up the current angel funding round.”

As an Advisor and Investor in ThroughPut, Page is now stepping into a late-co-founder executive role where fast scaling is crucial. He will be responsible for fueling the Go-To-Market and partner expansions into targeted markets globally ranging from any business with ERP, MES, PLC or related systems data, all the way to Industry 4.0 and digital transformation savvy enterprises.

“I am thrilled to join the dynamic team at ThroughPut, which is already delivering significant bottom-line savings and performance improvements across the supply-chain for global Fortune 500 customers far more efficiently than any other company I have seen in the market over the last decade,” said Page. “The holy grail of connected industry is the ability to track products and shipments at every stage of the supply chain, including manufacturing and logistics. ThroughPut has the ability to do long-term, real-time, value-stream mapping for existing dynamic process data versus the current status-quo of statistical and visualization packages that only provide static snapshots.  ThroughPut’s powerful capabilities are a stark improvement on lean methodologies that have existed for fifty years, but have remained largely undigitalized and static in nature, thus missing out on the tremendous acceleration in compute, networking, storage, parallelization, containerization, serverless, cloud computing and other technology advancements. In contrast, by using already-existing data residing in ERP, MES, PLC, and the myriad of other enterprise data systems, along with ThroughPut’s Bottleneck Management System, such results can be achieved in minutes, not the many months that traditional and expensive digital transformation and Industrial IOT projects entail. Given the current explosion of data scattered across a multitude of global systems and disparate processes, the most immediate need is to make sense of the avalanche of supply-chain data in order to make timely decisions for efficient, reliable and predictable operations.  I am incredibly honored to lead the company to the next level of growth, secure additional financing, and make intelligent, zero-downtime supply chains a reality for our customers.”

“The Supply Chain Industry is undergoing a dramatic transformation where visibility and collaboration hold paramount significance,” underscored Ramesh Bollapragada, a Distinguished Faculty Professor of Industrial Automation and Supply Chain, who has held positions at Carnegie Mellon University, University of California-Berkeley, San Francisco State University, Bell Laboratories, and Lucent Technologies and published dozens of papers covering the space. “To survive and thrive in such disruptive times, supply chain leaders must leverage the power of Advanced Statistics and Machine Learning to more effectively predict potential bottlenecks, prioritize and rank their impact to operations in real-time, especially for strategy automation. The industrial leaders of tomorrow are already beginning to utilize their existing data from years of Enterprise Resource Planning and other database systems to effectuate the remediation of bottlenecks and disruptions in real-time across the entire value chain. This has been proven to lead to greater throughput, higher productivity, lower costs, and from a financial perspective, better quarterly Earnings-Per-Share improvements. In short, every production manager and operations executives’ dream.”

Previous to Progress DataRPM, Page was the Chief Operations Officer and Head of Corporate Development at Unikey Technologies, the leading Industrial IoT access control and mobile eKey cloud platform, powering industry-leading smart locks, such as Kevo by Kwikset, and access control readers, such as Nortek Linear’s BluePass. At UniKey, he successfully led venture capital, family office, angel investor, corporate venture capital, and venture debt fundraising efforts. Page also launched new industry verticals and SaaS B2B businesses at UniKey, scaled the business, open their West Coast operations, and forged partnerships and integrations with global technology leaders including Samsung, Google Nest, Apple, Motorola, Honeywell, Nortek, Microsoft, Amazon, Airbnb, Ring,  and others.

Previously Page held executive positions at RayV (acquired by Yahoo – YHOO), PV Media Group, (acquired by RhythmOne – RTHM), AdOn Networks (acquired by PV Media Group), Oyster Optics (acquired by TechQuity), Trade.com (acquired by ABN AMRO – ABN), as well as investment banks Corporate Finance Partners (merged with ACXIT) and BlueStone Capital Partners, and the State of California’s European Offices of Trade & Investment. Page earned an Executive MBA in Global Business from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, as well as a BA in Economics and a BA in German Linguistics & Literature, both from the University of California in Irvine. Page was also honored by a scholarship to attend the Georg-August-Universität in Göttingen, Germany, and previously the University of California in Santa Cruz, where he grew up, in southernmost Silicon Valley.
