The National Manufacturing and Supply Chain Conference, the largest gathering of manufacturing and supply chain professionals, takes place on the 31st January in the Citywest Convention Centre, Dublin with a focus on sustainability, brexit, manufacturing, renewable energy, procurement, recycling and more.
The annual event will welcome 3,000 manufacturing and supply chain industry professionals, 200 speakers and 170+ exhibitors.
There will be 16 conferences taking place within the event including the National Sustainable Summit, Wind Power Expo and Waste and Recycling Summit.
The National Manufacturing and Supply Chain Conference takes place as concern mounts about the prospect of a hard border between the Republic and Northern Ireland. The potential impact could have a significant impact on trade with the over 30,000 people who cross the border everyday facing disruption. According to the conference organiser, Colin Murphy, the event presents a chance for the manufacturing and supply chain industry to discuss the likely challenges head on.
"The more time goes on the greater the uncertainty seems to get with respect to Brexit, border controls and customs. Manufacturers and supply chain professionals are facing massive disruption that could be potentially catastrophic if a solution isn't found. The National Manufacturing and Supply Chain Conference provides an opportunity to explore the likely challenges that are expected to emerge over the coming months so those in the industry can start preparing."
Attendees and Exhibitors
The 3,000 attendees at this year's conference will include senior executives from across Ireland and the UK's manufacturing and supply chain industries including Managing Directors, Finance Directors, Marketing Directors and Operations Directors from the largest manufacturers, supply chain management companies.
Attendees will also be treated to a showcase of the latest technology driving innovation in the manufacturing sector along with new products, services and debates on the latest trends across 16 stages.

Sustainability will be a major theme at this year's conference as Ireland's largest manufacturers increasingly focus on improving energy efficiency and sustainable manufacturing and trade practices to deliver quantifiable eco results.
With the backdrop of Brexit this year there will also be a series of talks across the stages discussing the wide ranging impact of the ongoing Brexit negotiations and what a 'Hard Brexit' could mean for Ireland's supply chain.
