Coop Denmark Strengthens its Retail Planning Strategy with RELEX’s Unified Store Portal

Aug 15, 2019 2 min

Grocer increases communication and transparency between stores and central teams, improving replenishment and planogram implementation while strengthening its position as one of Denmark’s largest retailers.

Coop Denmark, which operates around 1,100 supermarkets under the Fakta, Irma, Kvickly, SuperBrugsen and Dagli’Brugsen brands, is deepening its partnership with RELEX Solutions, provider of unified retail planning solutions. The retail giant is implementing RELEX’s On-the-Go store portal, designed to make it easy for store teams and central planners to collaborate directly via a shared platform, supporting Coop Denmark’s work to further unify its retail planning processes.

Coop Denmark wanted to improve its management of order proposals, stock balances and KPIs, as well as guide better planogram implementation and compliance. The store portal provides Coop Denmark with a flexible and transparent working environment through which it can make full use of its in-store expertise.

We wanted to make sure our stores and central teams constantly have access to the same data so they can communicate more efficiently to better plan store displays and on-shelf availability.

“We wanted to make sure our stores and central teams constantly have access to the same data so they can communicate more efficiently to better plan store displays and on-shelf availability,” says Michael Duus, Business Process Owner, Coop Denmark. “With a unified store portal, our stores can now easily bring relevant input to the planning process, view and amend store proposals and product attributes on-the-go, as well as review store and category metrics and sales forecasts to make sure we constantly improve availability and customer satisfaction.”

RELEX already provides Coop Denmark with accurate forecasting and replenishment as well as optimized space and assortment planning.

“Coop Denmark has already unlocked a great degree of value by optimizing its retail and supply chain planning with RELEX,” says Søren Gram Christensen, Country Manager, Denmark at RELEX Solutions. “By further drawing in-the-field knowledge into its central planning and encouraging collaboration between teams, Coop Denmark will improve its order accuracy, ultimately leading to greater availability and customer satisfaction.”

“We are grateful for the trust Coop Denmark has shown in us and our solution and are proud to be shaping the future of retail planning together.”
