Sourcemap Joins the Global Shea Alliance

At Sourcemap we work hard to raise standards at every tier of supply chains, and that's why we're proud to announce that we have joined the Global Shea Alliance in their mission to improve the livelihoods of rural African women and their communities by helping to build a more competitive, sustainable, and profitable shea industry. More than 16 million rural women in Africa contribute to their household incomes by collecting and processing shea kernels, which are prized by the food and cosmetics industry in the form of shea butter (beurre de carité). We are joining the cause to become more active participants in the shea supply chain so that our customers can directly benefit the livelihoods in the first mile of their supply chains with measurable, verifiable impact in traceable shea supply chains.
