Franprix picked RELEX Solutions for forecasting and replenishment of fresh products

RELEX Solutions is working with French convenience store chain Franprix to help it further improve its offering of fresh products to its customers. Following a pilot in selected stores, RELEX and Franprix have set out on an ambitious plan under which the scope of the project would be extended to automate store replenishment for all its products.

“Our customers are ever-more demanding when it comes to quality and freshness,” says Stéphane Tuot, Supply Chain Manager at Franprix. “That’s why we are constantly innovating and seeking out the best technology to optimize our demand forecasting and store replenishment so we can guarantee that products are at the very peak of freshness for our customers. We are looking to our RELEX system to optimize product availability at store level and speed up our inventory turnover so that we can continue to meet our customers’ expectations.”

“We are delighted that Franprix has placed such confidence in RELEX and given us the opportunity to support them in better satisfying its customers,” says David Ritel, RELEX Country Manager of France. “We look forward to helping Franprix reap the benefits of implementing our solution as quickly as possible.”

“The challenges we are tackling with Franprix draw on the expertise RELEX has accumulated working with fresh food retailers worldwide,” adds Ritel. “Not only is each store unique in terms of size, location and customer profile, but Franprix also has to manage fresh and short-shelf- life products, which is one of the most complex tasks a food retailer faces, and one that really differentiates the best from the rest.”

“We have no doubt that the computing power and flexibility of the RELEX system combined with the expertise and commitment of the RELEX team will help us to maximize our operational efficiency and further strengthen our position as a leader in the market,” Tuot added.
