Our customers depend on Blue Yonder Transportation Management to achieve customer-centricity and operational resiliency across the globe. This fact drives us to innovate when it comes to our Supply Chain Execution solutions. Blue Yonder recently was named a Leader in the 2024 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Transportation Management Systems (TMS) report1 for the 13th year2 in a row. This year, we were recognized in both the Ability to Execute and the Completeness of Vision.

Our Customers Are Our First Priority

Thanks to the strength of our TMS, our customers are achieving ambitious new customer-centric, sustainability, and efficiency goals in their operations. Along their journey they provide feedback, which with industry and technological advancements, backs our ongoing innovation strategy. Doing so, we enable our customers’ digital journey with new capabilities to help counter increasingly complex challenges and satisfy customer-centric requirements, while managing more frequent supply chain disruptions and rising costs.

This is an example of what one of our valued customers is saying about our solution:

“We first implemented Blue Yonder’s transportation management platform in 2006. The logistics landscape has changed significantly since then, but Blue Yonder’s capabilities have evolved along with it. Today we’re undertaking a digital transformation, supported by a move to the cloud, that’s setting the stage for automation and exception-based management across our global transportation network. Working in partnership with Blue Yonder, I’m confident we’ll get there,” according to a Transportation Manager, Kimberly-Clark (read the case study).

Constant Focus on Benefits Achieved

Our TMS helps customers gain holistic benefits in customer service, sustainability, cost-to-serve, resource retention, and more. We attributed the customers’ success to our focus on value, and our product, service and support teams, who are keen to meet our customers’ requirements today and in the future.

As an example, the Transportation Manager at Kimberly-Clark discussed the results their company has achieved with Blue Yonder:

“Blue Yonder transportation management immediately began generating up to $14 million a year in freight cost reductions in North America compared to our previous manual methods. We were able to make better decisions via automation, while also eliminating days of manual effort. Those savings and efficiencies have continued to grow.

Innovation Journey

To respond to our customers’ transformational needs, Blue Yonder is bringing innovative capabilities to support their initiatives, including highlights such as:

  • SaaS modernized deployment of Transportation Management System: provides a right-priced solution with faster deployment for smaller customers.
  • Integrated pallet building and route planning: provides F&B, CPG and other customers the ability to build nested cases on tiers, pallets and trucks while looking at route sequence and warehouse loading limits to maximize trailer, driver unload and route efficiency.
  • Pre-booked ocean capacity and booking/in-transit update: simplifies ocean carrier management with pre-book capacity, booking revisions and in-transit multi-leg updates, and the ability to process carrier booking detail and shipment changes to port location.
  • Integrated parcel execution with carrier partners: expands options to secure carrier partner rates and execution signals from booking request/response, track and trace, label generation and freight payments, and to integrate flows seamlessly into the TMS via an end-to-end, API based solution.
  • Routing constraint tables for AP and AR tariff maintenance: provides an improved tabular view for editing and inclusion/exclusion of routing constraints that ease the burden of having to maintain structures in the tariff hierarchical models.
  • Fleet Dispatcher user interface: streamlined and intuitive user interface for easy pre-planning ad-hoc scheduling of loads and assets to our Transportation Manager tools.
  • Transportation Optimization microservice: top-tier Blue Yonder planning made available to wider audience via a standalone API. With this new tool, manufacturers, retailers and logistics service providers (LSP) can benefit from Blue Yonder optimization tools via integration to their existing TMS.

In addition to the Magic Quadrant, we are ranked highest among the evaluated solution providers in a variety of Use Cases in the 2024 Gartner Critical Capabilities for Transportation Management Systems report3. Blue Yonder ranked highest for Level 3, 4 and 5 Use Case and second highest for Levels 1 and 2 Use Cases.
