Drone delivery provider Zipline is adding three new clients including health and wellness retailer GNC, pharmaceutical logistics firm Associated Couriers and Seattle-based eatery Pagliacci Pizza, expanding its footprint and building on its success delivering vaccines in Africa during the pandemic and working with retail giant Walmart.

Market Share Slippage The Journal report cites market research data indicating that Alibaba ’s share of the Chinese E-Commerce sector has tumbled to an estimated 40 percent, from an 80 percent level in 2014 when the online retail platform provider had its IPO. Assuming that customer service can be automated by bots is a slippery slope.

So far, the national averages for spot market rates in October are the highest they've been since the Snowpocalypse of 2014. Back then, it was a series of winter storms that disrupted supply chains and pushed load-to-truck ratios unusually high for several months. Seattle to Eugene, OR surged 70¢ to an average of $3.14/mile.

Last week, the national load-to-truck ratio for vans was the highest it's been since March 2014. That was back when demand for trucks skyrocketed because extreme winter weather caused massive disruption to supply chains. Seattle to Spokane was up 20¢ to $2.70/mile. Chicago to Buffalo also rose 18¢ to $2.33/mile.
