EQMS 2024

Greetings, QAD EQMS Users!

QAD is pleased to announce the latest iteration of QAD EQMS software. The spring 2024 release includes improved user experience and additional capabilities.

A Fresh Look and Feel

We took advantage of a technical uplift of the user interface to upgrade your user experience. Our UX uplift isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about driving adoption, ease-of-use and overall efficiency gains. With nearly 40 improvements based on customer feedback, including reduced cursor movement, enhanced white-space, and improved data density, navigating EQMS has never been smoother. One of the great new features is the ability to have a list of open windows in a single browser tab that persists for the device across sessions on the same device, as indicated in Figure 1.

Incident Investigations

We listened to customer feedback and are excited to introduce a new Incident Investigation process to the EQMS NCR & CAPA module. This feature empowers you to conduct thorough investigations before logging non-conformances, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and enabling better management of environmental or safety-related incidents. By involving customers in the requirements, design, and development phases, we’ve tailored this feature to meet the needs of industry verticals where quality and safety are paramount.

Enhanced Flexibility with NCR and CAPA Separation

In response to customer requests, we’ve separated non-conformance reports (NCRs) from Corrective Action Preventive Actions (CAPAs), offering you more flexibility in your quality management processes. This change allows for parallel processing and the creation of CAPAs without the need for a preceding NCR. We understand the importance of streamlining your workflows, and this update is our commitment to making your quality management journey as seamless as possible. Figures 3 and 4 show a NCR and the associated CAPA, respectively, with the tabs indicating the significant aspects of each.

We believe these improvements will not only elevate your experience with QAD EQMS but also empower you to achieve greater efficiency and compliance in your quality management initiatives. We’re dedicated to continuously innovating and delivering solutions that meet your evolving needs.
