The Texas Triangle refers to an area of Texas that is roughly bordered by Dallas, Houston and San Antonio / Austin (when you are Texas you get to call 4 points a triangle). Texas is the second largest state in terms of land mass with only Alaska being larger, yet most of the population is already living in the Texas Triangle.

A rapid-response humanitarian relief organization, Airlink is said to be working with major airline companies, namely United Airlines, Alaska Airlines and American Airlines, to relieve workers and volunteers. Averitt Express has also pledged a $100K donation to the American Red Cross National Disaster Relief Fund.

Same-day delivery is not currently available in Alaska, Colorado, Iowa, Maine, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia and Wyoming, and delivery of orders containing alcohol is currently limited to select stores in Illinois and Florida.

With the deregulation of the trucking industry in the 1980s, Old Dominion extended its service area into Florida, Tennessee and California and also started serving the major markets of Chicago and Dallas. Old Dominion ’s service area includes all of the United States including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and Guam.

Maersk and Kodiak are running trucks 24 hours a day for four days a week between Houston and Oklahoma City with a stopover in Dallas to swap out safety drivers, who must comply with the limit on driver hours. Seattle-based Alaska Airlines said it would work with Santa Monica, Calif.-based Kodiak, Aurora Innovation Inc.
