Extra capacity takes a bite out of prices

Denver to Albuquerque was down 30¢ to $2.04/mile. Grand Rapids to Cleveland climbed 39¢ to $2.82/mile. While every market was down, the standouts were Philadelphia, Stockton, Los Angeles, and Seattle , which has slipped the most in the past month. Philly to Buffalo dropped 32¢ to $2.42/mile.

The slow and steady trend of more gaining lanes than falling took a step back last week. On the top 100 van lanes, 50 were down, 41 were up, and 9 were neutral. Most changes were slight, though.
