renowned partners that 3D print parts with high quality. We partner with global
companies like IDEAS (India) for engineering services and UPS (global) for transport

Overall purpose of the job

The SC Business Developer will be counted on to provide business & customer development, project
management support as well as order management support by coordinating both client, Additive
Manufacturing partners and DiManEx teams in a fast-paced changing environment. This position will
be responsible for delivering end-to-end business operational support to the client. The person in this
role will apply a blend of project management expertise, order management process and purchase
experience and knowledge, (mechanical) engineering experience and excellent client service. In
doing so, the SC Business Developer creates trust of the client in DiManEx, helps to convert the
customer lessons learned into the right DiManEx product & proposition, and finally drives & speeds up
the parts volume business with our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Support customers by providing technical and full order management support. Coordinate with
    multiple teams (Sales, Engineering partners, Manufacturing partners, Logistics partners etc.) to
    ensure the complete fulfilment process correctly and in a timely manner
  • Track and communicate status of orders and quotations through delivery
  • Technical sales and project management for additive manufacturing, tooling, prototyping, and
    parts production. Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering and test partners for lead-time
  • Align with partners on quote updates and order management
  • Facilitate meetings (as necessary) to communicate status of projects & orders and drive action
    items to expedite project execution & order fulfilment
  • Proactively follow up on open items through completion. Track and report on all open items
  • Drive alignment between “buyer” and client teams to ensure all final configuration and solutions
    are rolled out per customer
  • Serve as the client’s first point of contact for escalated and/or projects & orders
  • Escalate issues that do not have a ready solution; utilize critical thinking to determine the best and
    most effective approach
  • Aggregate customer lessons learned and feedback, and provide such in an effective & efficient
    way back to (product) marketing on order to continuously improve our service offering
  • Manage customer expectations, project progress and planning
  • Initiate, develop and maintain project management towards customers, i.e. start, plan, execute and
    evaluate on Onboarding projects
  • Manage Business Process Management customer activities; admin/ log the various activities in the
    appropriate systems
  • Report and communicate project progress and order / fulfilment progress on demand

Qualifications

  • > 5-10 years of Supply Chain project management experience and/or (mechanical) Engineering
  • Strong track record of direct client-facing and/or supplier-facing experience
  • > 10 years of experience in core supply chain management, including product development,
    buying, logistics and BPM
  • > 5-10 years of supply chain experiences in the manufacturing industry
  • Preferably a professional network or relevant relations (potential customers or partners)
  • Experience in a high-volume, high paced multi-project environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Exceptional detail-orientation and organization in a deadline-driven environment
  • Proven track record in taking ownership of a project and seeing it through to completion
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Leadership capabilities, networking skills, good cooperator in teams and with partners
  • Hands on, organized, analytical approach
  • Change management skills
  • Prior experience in a cross-cultural environment
  • Holistic view
  • Fluent in English. Fluency in German (written and spoken) is a strong asset

Special requirements

  • Being able to create goodwill from customers based on which they will grant you the deal/order
  • Ability to read the customer (& customer situations) and act on it accordingly
  • Solid experience in our industry verticals and understanding of the dynamics we see on a daily
    basis with OEMs and large service organisation
  • Good commercial sense
  • Innovative & change attitude and drive
  • Willingness to travel both nationally as well as abroad
  • Experience with Additive Manufacturing is beneficial
