Vienna, JAGGAER Austria GmbH, May 11, 2023 – JAGGAER is pleased to announce that Idorsia, a global biotech company headquartered in Allschwil near Basel in Switzerland, and with commercial operations across Europe and in the USA and Japan, is now using JAGGAER ONE to optimize its supplier and category management. The goal is to replace the existing data silos with a centrally managed repository of supplier data that combines all information about suppliers, their performance and status to provide a 360-degree view. Existing digitization gaps are to be closed and efficiency increased by means of an end-to-end data flow.
The JAGGAER solution was particularly convincing in the software selection process in terms of its functional diversity: It can meet Idorsia’s requirements almost out of the box. The supplier relationship management and category management modules will be used first. Thanks to the former, all important supplier data is now available to the company with just a few clicks – from basic information and output data to internal KPIs such as the number of PO-backed invoices. This results in time savings, since the individual data records are no longer distributed across several systems, but flow together automatically in the JAGGAER solution. At the same time, this results in significantly higher data quality, as redundancies associated with switches between different media are avoided and information gaps are discovered directly. Category management, on the other hand, provides a clear overview of all suppliers serving commodity groups relevant to Idorsia and facilitates the search for suitable partners to be considered for a tender process.
In addition, the JAGGAER interface to SAP delivers significant added value: Once supplier onboarding is complete, all supplier data is automatically transferred to the ERP system. As a result, Idorsia not only saves time by eliminating the manual transfer effort, but also profits from a significantly lower risk of errors. The biotech derives a further benefit from the connection of external tools, such as Riskmethods (Sphera) and IntegrityNext, which feed JAGGAER ONE with supplementary risk data. This enables Idorsia to better assess potential risk factors and also to fulfill legal requirements – e.g. with regard to ESG reporting – much more easily.
As a next step, it is planned to extend the use of JAGGAER ONE to include supplier onboarding in the various countries where Idorsia is present. In addition, JAGGAER offers a sourcing module and a research material management solution for the procurement of chemical reagents, which may be of interest in the future.
