Spot Market Van Rates Soared in September

One exception was out West: Rates on the lane from Seattle to Salt Lake City gained 36¢ at $2.25/mile. For carriers, van loads coming out of Seattle often pay backhaul rates, but rates have been on the rise on a few lanes in recent weeks. One lane that still doesn’t pay well, though, is the one from Seattle to Stockton, CA.
