QAD is pleased to announce the availability of QAD Adaptive ERP 2021, the latest version of QAD’s next generation ERP solution that includes the Adaptive User Experience (UX) and the QAD Enterprise Platform. We are also excited to unveil updates to other areas in the QAD Adaptive Applications solution portfolio. This latest release further enhances our Cloud ERP capabilities and our customers’ ability to boost business intelligence, innovation and business agility required by today’s manufacturers. With this release, QAD has delivered new adaptive manufacturing capabilities to extend configured solutions, increase user productivity and boost manufacturing and supply chain efficiency.

Effective Enterprise Management
From integrated multi-currency, multi-GAAP and multi-entity financials to best practice purchasing, from shared services to real-time data and flexible data analytics, Effective Enterprise Management ensures that manufacturers operate from a trusted set of essential enterprise processes that meet today’s and tomorrow’s needs. The QAD Enterprise Platform has added capabilities that allow users and developers to securely create extensions or applications with little to no coding. We have added additional KPIs and insights so companies can ensure they are monitoring performance and improving decision making. Our mobile platform further supports QAD CRM for Manufacturers by including functionality for individual actions, form buttons, and email CC integration to enhance sales representative efficiency. Usability has improved to include access to QAD Inbox Notifications with seamless integration between the QAD Inbox in Adaptive UX. Action Centers have seen additional updates with Adaptive UX to improve the interaction and analysis of up-to-date information. With enhanced insights visibility for performance indicators, users have improved analysis capabilities for better decision-making. QAD Financials boosted the user experience for greater efficiency and personalization across accounts payables, accounts receivables, banking and other financial areas.
Complete Customer Management
Complete Customer Management delivers an outstanding customer experience that builds a company’s brand and helps acquire, sell to and retain customers with the least effort and expense. QAD’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) for Manufacturers solution provides further automation and simplification so sales teams can more efficiently move opportunities through the system. To improve usability and efficiency, task lists can be included on opportunities, sales stage history is easily accessible and calendar synchronization for both Outlook and Google is now available. QAD CRM for Manufacturers is fully integrated within QAD Adaptive ERP, which provides manufacturers a comprehensive and single view of their customers to align efforts that deliver an optimal customer experience. Trade Activity Management is no longer an add-on product but an included solution allowing clients to better manage trade promotion activities and promotional spending. Usability and efficiency have been enhanced with a complete uplift to the Adaptive UX. Functionality includes advanced pricing, promotions and contracts that are completely integrated with Sales and Financials.
Digital Manufacturing
Digital Manufacturing allows manufacturers to leverage digital and advanced technologies to better communicate, analyze and use real-time information to meet cost and quality objectives. In this area, QAD Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) has improved work order scheduling to allow supervisors to more quickly address schedule changes and employee assignments. QAD EAM has also added enhancements to manage more complex projects and allow project managers to better plan costs and estimates prior to project authorization. QAD Manufacturing uplifted the user experience with Adaptive UX across engineering, production and inventory capabilities to boost efficiency and help manufacturers succeed in today’s digital world. QAD Enterprise Quality Management System (EQMS) has added:
- Additional notifications for critical workflows for NCR/CAPA, Supplier Management and APQP to improve responsiveness and usability
- The ability for suppliers to create deviation requests and supplier self assessments resulting in greater efficiency and less burden on manufacturers
- For customers performing destructive testing, inventory can be more easily reduced as parts are destroyed to improve inventory accuracy
Integrated Supplier Management
Integrated Supplier Management creates value for manufacturers by improving supplier collaboration and supply chain visibility allowing for faster response to changes in supply and demand. QAD Precision Global Trade & Transportation Execution (GTTE) has added new import management capabilities that support all trade-dependent companies, regardless of industry vertical, by automating the key tasks and regulatory requirements associated with clearing imported goods through Customs. The new capabilities include unique classification functionality that guides the user in determining the correct Harmonized Code for Customs reporting, thus ensuring correct tariff rates and eligibility to free trade programs. This allows companies to address recent global trade turbulence, reduce product landed costs and avoid delays due to unforeseen admissibility requirements. Additionally, with our recent acquisition of Allocation Network, announced in December, we have added QAD Sourcing and QAD Supplier Management to our applications portfolio. This allows our customers to ensure optimal supplier selection, accurate performance analysis and reduced material costs.
Connected Supply Chain
Connected Supply Chain helps manufacturers effectively collaborate with supply chain partners and address the challenges associated with managing complex and ever-changing global supply chains. With a focus on usability, blanket order release to purchase order process provides a more user friendly tool to increase efficiency and gain visibility into the right information. Advanced Pricing capabilities have been implemented into the Firm Purchasing functionality to allow customers to benefit from purchase volume discounts across planned orders and sites. To improve the quality of goods received, item attributes now link required tests to the quality process. QAD Precision Free Trade Agreement provides the ability to solicit for inbound Certificates of Origin from suppliers, easily assess entire product lines under FTA Rules of Origin, obtain a full detailed audit trail of the results, and generate outbound Certificates of Origin to customers. As a result, manufacturers can reduce or eliminate import tariffs on selected goods across all trade agreements recognized by the World Trade Organization. QAD Dynasys Digital Supply Chain Planning (DSCP) has added:
- Financial Planning capabilities with profitability metrics across the supply chain to roll up costs and revenues from purchasing, production, distribution and sales. This allows planners to make intelligent decisions in terms of profitability and budget adherence.
- Scenario Management has been re-engineered to provide a true parallel planning experience. As our customers face unprecedented disruptions from geopolitical and pandemic events, this provides improved event analysis of the potential impact before they occur.
- Strengthened our use of Artificial Intelligence by refining several existing capabilities along with adding intelligent daily planning to improve decision-making.
