MC Numbers Going Away, But Not On Jan. 14

The FMCSA will again delay implementation of its Unified Registration System (URS), which will do away with MC numbers. The final phase was scheduled to begin Jan. 14, 2017. FMCSA says it will announce the new date in January. In an email sent to stakeholders last Friday, the agency said: TRACK MC AND DOT NUMBERS. After the URS takes effect, DAT customers will still be able to look up potential business partners by their MC numbers.
