July employment was a welcomed surprise as the economy added 1.763 million payrolls during the month resulting in the unemployment rate declining to 10.2%. The Transportation & Warehousing sector remained positive but at a month-to-month slower rate with Rail and Warehousing & Storage slipping from June. Rail has experienced declines for a few months now but the slip in Warehousing & Storage follows a 5.3% jump in employment for May to June.
