The two Florida markets of Lakeland (which includes Orlando) and Miami made huge jumps, as did McAllen, TX, near the Mexican border. Indianapolis, Twin Falls, ID, and Joliet, IL, each fell out of the top 10 from last year. Below are the top 10 markets for outbound reefer load posts through June.

The national flatbed rate for October was the highest of the year, boosted at least in part by rebuilding efforts in Florida and the Gulf Coast after the storms from a couple months ago. Rock Island, IL, to Indianapolis also climbed to $3.03/mile. Las Vegas to Sacramento averaged $3.19/mile. mile last week.

The top 4 were the same as last week – Atlanta, Charlotte, Houston and Dallas – but Indianapolis edged out Memphis for the no. Central Florida is hitting peak season, and the lane from Lakeland to Baltimore added 24¢ to $2.24/mile. Overall, per-day volumes in April were pretty much on par with March. RISING LANE RATES.

Memphis to Indianapolis isn't a lane we talk a lot about and it's rarely among the top gainers, but the average rate jumped up 12¢ last week to $1.89/mile. That comes despite uneven production out of Florida , shipping gaps in California , and a drop in volumes in markets near the Mexican border. mile on average.

Memphis to Indianapolis added 22¢ to $1.88/mile. Most major reefer markets trended upward last week, with the exception of Florida and Northern California. Retail shipments also kept pace after Memorial Day and boosted prices on these lanes: Columbus to Buffalo paid 24¢ better at $2.62/mile. mile on average.

Memphis to Indianapolis gained 22¢ to $2.58/mile. Those hot markets in Florida and California offset weaker rates in Midwest dairy hubs like Grand Rapids , MI and Green Bay , WI. More specifically, if you're looking for a load out of Houston, Dallas, or Memphis, you'll see higher rates. Lakeland , FL, pricing rose an average of 4.0%
