To tell their story they flashed up a screen of JDA demand planning (which has not changed much since I worked on it in 1995), and proceeded to tell me a story of how their cognitive application improved forecast error (measured by Mean Absolute Percent Error or MAPE) by over 30%. They showed the details by item on improved accuracy.
