Adaptive Applications, September 2023 product release, Adaptive Enterprise

We are excited to update you on the September 2023 launch, which includes enhancements to many solutions in our portfolio, supporting the QAD commitment to helping our customers become Adaptive Enterprises, enhancing their ability to meet the promise they make to their customers to deliver the right product at the right price at the right time.

Two significant enhancements are the further integration of QAD Process Intelligence and QAD Redzone Connected Workforce, expanding QAD customers’ capabilities around identifying and eliminating inefficiencies in their ongoing production processes and helping improve communication, collaboration, and productivity among their frontline workers.

Advancing Process Intelligence and QAD Redzone Connected Workforce Integration

With recent updates in Process Intelligence modeling, QAD customers gain real-time insights on how their processes in manufacturing, supply chain and general enterprise operations are actually flowing and performing. Our customers will now have access to four different machine learning “off the shelf” scenarios ready to be implemented in Accounts Payable, Account Receivable, Shipping and Maintenance. Outcomes include a 30% increase in maintenance productivity. This unique combination allows our customers to eliminate inefficiencies and confidently predict improvement outcomes.

In addition to Process Intelligence, QAD continues its commitment to advancing the integration of QAD Redzone Connected Workforce. This unique combination of connected workforce and production reporting further solidifies QAD’s vision of the Adaptive Enterprise. By providing real-time insights into workforce performance and production processes, it helps our customers increase productivity by 29%, boost frontline engagement by 74% and reduce staff turnover by 32% on average in the first 90 days after implementation.

The integration of these two solutions provides QAD customers with a powerful combination of tools to help improve efficiency, agility and resilience.

There are also additional improvements in the QAD products line up. Let’s dive a little deeper, into what is included in the following QAD product areas:

Digital Supply Chain Planning Update

Time is a precious commodity in supply chain planning. A standard Supply Chain Planning project in a complex business context can easily become a long project implementation, involving extensive analysis and customization. That’s why we want to highlight our continued enhancements in QAD’s Ready to Plan (RTP) which greatly accelerate implementations and time to value.

Apart from RTP, with this QAD Digital Supply Chain Planning (DSCP) release, there is a continued focus on the public cloud offering, with all screens now fully available in the Web version.

Global Trade and Transportation Execution Update

For QAD Global Trade and Transportation Execution (GTTE), there are enhancements for Import, Export, Transportation and Foreign-Trade Zone.

In the world of global trade, compliance is paramount. QAD GTTE has achieved a remarkable milestone in the field of compliance: the certification for Germany’s Atlas 3.0, an electronic Export filing system. This certification places QAD among a select group of non-German companies, highlighting our dedication to simplifying international trade. Customers can complete the test phase and be production-ready in time for the October 29th 2023 cut-off to Atlas AES V.3.

Our Import Management solution continues to evolve. We are offering our customers a Supplier Portal allowing trade-dependent companies a much more efficient documentation management and a ‘Customs Invoice’ designed to capture data missing from the Supplier’s Commercial Invoice, and validate broker’s pending Entry Declaration with customs before filing, expediting customs clearance. These enhancements have been introduced to help our clients save time and reduce costs for broker service fees.

Transportation Execution benefits from expanded reporting options using LOGI. We’re making it easier for customers to access commonly used reports or create their customized ones.

And finally, with our mission to ensure reliability and scalability, we continue the migration to the new AWS environment with the goal of full migration completed by the end of the calendar year.

Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Update

QAD SRM is introducing GuideMe—a game-changer that enhances the user experience. GuideMe provides step-by-step guidance, simplifying onboarding for new users and boosting productivity, even for lesser-used functions. It’s a leap forward in user-friendly applications.

eDocument Compliance Update

Our eDocument Compliance offering replaces QAD eInvoicing, broadening its scope to cover various commercial documents types and formats, delivered in any electronic format. This update helps our clients align with the evolving landscape of “Continuous Transaction Controls,” aimed at optimizing tax collection processes, and minimizing fraud. While eDocument Compliance tackles more eDocument types and formats than eInvoicing, it does not cover AP automation.

Internationalization Update

Our commitment to global business practices remains unwavering. We’re continuously updating our packages to align with legal and business practice variations worldwide. In a nod to sustainability, we’re introducing the ECO Tax package, supporting countries implementing new taxes for non-reusable plastic. We’re launching this package initially in Spain and France, with more countries to follow. Our single global solution remains a hallmark of QAD Adaptive ERP.

In conclusion, these updates underscore QAD’s dedication to empowering businesses in their quest for efficiency, agility and resilience. We’re excited about the possibilities these innovations bring and look forward to helping businesses thrive in the ever-changing world of enterprise management.
