Memphis to Houston nose-dived 54¢ to $2.74/mile Rock Island to Minneapolis rose 54¢ to $2.76/mile. A couple Southeast markets also trended up for flatbed rates and volumes last week.

Find Van Loads Fast in These 5 Places

MEMPHIS is right behind Charlotte in terms of load posts, but the load-to-truck ratio is slightly better for truckers. Rates are up on the lane to Atlanta, and the average rate on the backhaul from Atlanta to Memphis is up 19¢ since March. Atlanta is another top destination, and the round trip has been steady this month at $1.88/mile.

Further south, Memphis to St. Rock Island to Indianapolis dropped 53¢ $2.91/mi. Louis dove 79¢ to $3.01/mi. – perhaps just winter lingering.

Last-Minute Christmas Freight Boosts Truckload Volume
