Construction activity boosted rates out of Las Vegas : The lane to Los Angeles was up to an average of $3.31/mile. Las Vegas to Phoenix also jumped up to $2.97/mile. North Carolina and Virginia were especially affected by the winter weather this month, and prices fell out of Roanoke. mile last week.

More loads are moving out of Cleveland and Houston, but the big surprise was a surge in volume and rates out of Roanoke, Virginia. Las Vegas to Los Angeles dropped 49¢ to $3.61/mile. Rates rose last week on half of the top flatbed lanes, while the other half went down, so we haven't hit bottom yet.
