This came in the form of unexpected absenteeism at factories, warehouses, and on the road, as well as boats being stuck in ports which created container shortages. Are You Smarter Than a TMS?

A couple of weeks ago, I visited MIT to give a presentation on transportation management systems (TMS) to a masters class. Ace has 3 distribution warehouses (Tampa, FL; Chicago, IL; and Atlanta, GA.). Current inventory for the Le Fancy t-shirts at the warehouses are 31,000 in Tampa, 10,000 in Chicago, and 15,000 in Atlanta.

Amazon announces its first fully autonomous mobile warehouse robot. Amazon has announced its “first fully autonomous mobile robot ,” meant to move large carts throughout its warehouses. One, called Cardinal, is a robotic arm that can lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds, which Amazon hopes to deploy in warehouses next year.
