Demand has been weaker in Florida and Pennsylvania this month. Roanoke to Pittsburgh flatbed rates fell to $2.15/mile mile last week. Cleveland to Grand Rapids tumbled to $2.65/mile.

Here's the math: There are lots of choices when you leave Buffalo, including several destinations in Virginia and Maryland. Flatbed freight is also strongest in the Southeast.
