Uganda, Cambodia, and Rwanda have already started developing their own pharmaceutical industries, with the help of investments from drug companies in developed countries. Uganda is also one of the countries lobbying for a permanent waiver for Least-Developed Countries (LDCs), until they are no longer considered “least-developed”.
