Cooper includes southern New Jersey’s only Level I trauma center (Cooper University Hospital), which is the busiest trauma center in the Philadelphia region. Everything from contrast dye, to tubing, to medical devices with embedded semiconductor chips would suddenly become difficult to source.

Most often the focus is on transportation or logistics, but does not take into consideration the trade-offs between make, source and deliver. Manufacturing. Procurement.

I relished the sound of a manufacturing line when I opened the door of the factory in the morning, and I liked managing inputs so that we could maximize outputs.
