End of Quarter Adds 11% to Van Demand

Van demand rose 11% last week, in the end-of-quarter rush , and truck capacity tightened by 2.9%. That yielded a 14% increase in the national average load-to-truck ratio, from 1.7 to 2.0 loads per truck on DAT Load Boards. Oregon continues to offer substantial load volume and high load-to-truck ratios, especially in the state’s eastern and southern agricultural markets, with demand spilling into northern California.
