In early 2013, Belk launched a vendor-direct program. Located in Chicago, the facility opened in 2015 , making it the first LEED Platinum certified manufacturing plant in the industry. When customers order items not stocked at one of Belk’s fulfillment centers, those items are shipped directly from the vendor.
