Van Rates Peak in July, Flatbed Prices Rise in Southeast

Rates were hurt by changes in the mix of cargo. Hot Markets include: Jacksonville, Savannah, Raleigh, and Roanoke. The national average flatbed rate has been rising steadily since the first week in July, but it hasn’t returned to June levels yet. On a lane-by-lane basis, flatbed trends swung wildly.
