On Thursday, Wichita, Kansas based Spirit told workers not to report for their work shifts. On Wednesday, union workers rejected by a margin of 79 percent, the termed “ last and final ” wage and benefits offer from this supplier, thus placing a major disruption back in play.

Spirit announced it will begin restoring operations at its Wichita , Kansas facility today, Friday, June 30, and begin to fully resume production on Wednesday, July 5., According to published reports, this action represents the first new labor contract that workers at Spirit have had in over a 13 year period.
