and went to Louisiana State University where I got two masters degrees (industrial engineering and engineering science) and my PhD in industrial engineering. Leaving academia and the security of that was definitely a risk. We lived there for about 5-6 years and when he graduated, we moved back to Iran, where he became a professor.
