This isn’t just about consumerism; it’s inspiring to think that in purchasing an imported product, we are, in a tiny way, helping provide employment for people across our planet, often in developing countries. Looking back a few decades, the information for decision making was based on a small set of fact tables that had to be nicely summarized and presented in a report (in those days Excel was a revolution!)
