I did not understand warehousing and transportation until reassignment to a logistics role in 1985. Typing this quickly in the Atlanta airport as I run for a plane for Lima, Peru. This lack of alignment is an impediment to improving balance sheet results. I am a product of traditional, silo-based thinking. What do you think?

I am half-way through a spring speaking tour that will wrap-up in June with a speech in South Africa and Peru. Include the supplier’s warehouse and manufacturing locations. On Monday, I would speak in Orlando Florida at the Terra Technology event; and on Wednesday, present the keynote at the Logistic Summit & Expo in Mexico City.
