This is leading to an inventory pile-up of processors and memory chips used in PCs. Some retailers are learning to love bulked-up inventories. We’ve seen lots of stories over the last few years of retail stores shifting to smaller format stores to focus on e-commerce fulfillment. McDonald’s also jumping on the bandwagon.
