Further reported was that Boeing CFO Brain West had indicated last week that 787 production was paused at the North Charlestown, South Carolina facility to address issues related to fuselages built by supplier Spirit AeroSystems. Boeing has declined to comment to multiple publications regarding the temporary delivery suspension.

The aircraft manufacturer also made a prior decision to centralize final assembly of 787 at its South Carolina facility. Over 100 of this aircraft were grounded at factory lots pending last week’s FAA sign-off on added engineering, manufacturing and quality process fixes.
