October Flatbed Rates Were Highest of the Year

The lane from Cleveland to Harrisburg backed off some previous highs, falling to $3.56/mile. Houston prices have mostly been neutral, but the lane to Wichita, KS , fell to just $1.77/mile. Flatbed rates were down out of a handful of Sunbelt markets: Atlanta, Savannah, Fort Worth, and Phoenix. Out West, Reno to Seattle declined to $1.98/mile.

Cleveland demand has been relatively cool, but prices were up 3% last week - the lane to Milwaukee was up to $3.82 Lanes going to Wichita, KS , were down 34¢ to $2.81/mile. The load-to-truck ratio in Savannah hit 240 last Friday. Atlanta rates jumped up 5%. on solid volume increases.
