October Flatbed Rates Were Highest of the Year

Las Vegas to Sacramento averaged $3.19/mile. Houston prices have mostly been neutral, but the lane to Wichita, KS , fell to just $1.77/mile. Lots of major flatbed lanes were at or near $3/mile last week. All rates below include fuel surcharges and are based on real transactions between brokers and carriers. mile last week.

Flatbed Rates Set Another Record

The lane from Vegas to Sacramento jumped up to an average of $3.22/mile, Lanes going to Wichita, KS , were down 34¢ to $2.81/mile. Out West, Las Vegas has become a construction hub, and rates rose 15%. mile, but it could be a short term-spike since it’s a relatively low-volume lane.
