October Flatbed Rates Were Highest of the Year

Atlanta rates were down in general, but the lane to Baltimore climbed to $2.95/mile Flatbed rates were down out of a handful of Sunbelt markets: Atlanta, Savannah, Fort Worth, and Phoenix. Houston prices have mostly been neutral, but the lane to Wichita, KS , fell to just $1.77/mile. Roanoke, VA, to Harrisburg, PA, surged to $3.41/mile.

Flatbed Rates Set Another Record

Demand has been red hot out of Atlanta and the rest of Georgia. Atlanta rates jumped up 5%. Lanes going to Wichita, KS , were down 34¢ to $2.81/mile. Last week’s key markets were outside of Texas , which shows the diversification in the flatbed segment – it’s not just the energy sector.
