Flatbed rates and volumes move upward

Phoenix to El Paso, TX gained 32¢ to $2.08/mi. Baltimore to Springfield, MA slid 21¢ to $4.04/mi. Plenty of flatbed markets in the South and East experienced rising prices, including Birmingham, Tampa, Atlanta, Savannah, Raleigh, Harrisburg, Dallas and Phoenix. Atlanta to Houston increased 26¢ to $2.33/mi.

Flatbed Markets Adjust to Holidays, Regulations, and Weather

That pushed Baltimore rates up 10% higher last week as a result. Over on the East Coast, the lane from Baltimore to Springfield, MA , surged 79¢ to $4.35/mile.
