This is despite the purchase of Terra Technology Demand Sensing and Multi-tier Inventory Management (MEIO) in 2014 for 12-14M$ (including implementation). We started the pandemic with twenty-one more days of inventory than we had in 2007. We will hold the event at the Westin, Dulles in Washington, DC.

These growing expectations have put pressure on retailers to locate inventory closer to large consumer populations. Today’s warehouses are 143% larger than they were in 2007. I think it’s fair to say most customers expect to receive goods ordered online to be delivered in two days or less.

In 2007, the Dutch producer of pushchairs relocated its factory from Taiwan to the free trade zone close to Xiamen in China. That leads to extra inventory and extra costs and hence necessitates a substantial level of turnover in order to be financially feasible. Regional DC. Free trade zone. Bugaboo opted for that solution.
