Flatbed rates and volumes move upward

On the other hand, flatbed prices trended down in a handful of key markets, including Jacksonville, Las Vegas, Cleveland, Pittsburgh , and Roanoke. Phoenix to El Paso, TX gained 32¢ to $2.08/mi.

Outbound rates in the past month have surged in Birmingham, Phoenix, Jacksonville, and Los Angeles , and last week saw a big uptick in prices out of Rock Island, IL. Out West, flatbed loads going from Las Vegas to Salt Lake Cit y rose 61¢ on average at $3.02/mile.
