Amazon Continues to Take on Logistics

On August 5, 2016, e-commerce giant Amazon inaugurated its air transportation network , wherein the company entered into agreements to lease 40 Prime Air cargo planes to further expand its delivery capacity for its clients. Governor of Kentucky Matt Bavin said he’s excited for this venture and for a boost in the economy. What’s Next?

A couple of weeks ago I wrote an article outlining how cargo theft is on the rise. In the United States alone, cargo theft is a $15 to $35 billion industry. While cargo theft as a whole has increased 57 percent year-over-year, strategic theft has increased 600 percent from November to March.
