World Bank Revises 2023 Global Growth But Downgrades 2024

This week the World Bank released its latest June forecast of its Semiannual Global Economic Prospects Report. This latest forecast indicates that the global economy will grow by 2.1 percent this year, which is up from the 1.7 percent forecasted at the beginning of this year. That compares with a global growth rate of 3.1 percent in 2022.
