Last year Turkey contributed Euro120 million to the Group’s Euros 8 billion turnover. Ferrero set up activities in Turkey four years ago and volume has been growing at a steady 20-25% per year. To support this growth we have already built a factory in Turkey and this has been operational for four months.

Since the mid-2000s online sales have been growing 25% annually in Turkey and Hepsiburada.com has been outperforming the market with 50% annual growth rate, says Saatcioglu. E-commerce still only accounts for 1 to 1.5 % of retail shopping in Turkey (excluding ticketing, such as airline flights).
