Flatbed Markets Continue to Boom

Last week, flatbed volumes surged 10% higher, led by Houston, Fort Worth and Cleveland. The oil industry has also fueled the Texas markets: Rates were higher last week out of Dallas and Fort Worth , while Houston held firm. A couple strong lanes last week: Raleigh to Greenville, SC , jumped up to $2.94/mile.

October Flatbed Rates Were Highest of the Year

Flatbed rates were down out of a handful of Sunbelt markets: Atlanta, Savannah, Fort Worth, and Phoenix. The biggest declines for the month were on lanes out of Raleigh and Baltimore. Atlanta rates were down in general, but the lane to Baltimore climbed to $2.95/mile mile last week.
