The term Big Data is all the range. For me, buzzword bingo on Big Data is bad. They are a big marketing machine. This includes ominchannel and big data. Do not use the big data lexicon. Do not force teams to do documented phased process flows and a definitive ROI. It is comical.

There is no system of record for data over time, and the use of a portal gives the posting company a false sense of effectively communicating. We can connect through EDI, but a document has latency and limitations for unstructured data. There are other options, but each has limitations.

Monitoring such metrics is important and a supply chain control tower can be a key component of that strategy. Of course, this will be no guarantee that you will eliminate risk.
