Moving freight into Seattle, Ontario, California, and Denver , Colorado markets should pick up. Pacific N orthwest is also showing similar signs of recovery with outbound reefer freight volume and rate increases. .

Continuing the regional theme out of Nevada: Flatbed rates from Reno to Seattle rose to $2.97/mile. Construction activity boosted rates out of Las Vegas : The lane to Los Angeles was up to an average of $3.31/mile. Las Vegas to Phoenix also jumped up to $2.97/mile. Rock Island, IL, to Minneapolis rose at an average of $3.71/mile.

Capacity is also starting to loosen in California, Nevada, and Florida, and there were more lanes with significant declines than what we've been seeing in recent weeks. Seattle rates continued to slide from previous peaks, with a couple big drops last week: Seattle to Eugene, OR , plunged 95¢ to $2.69/mile.

Nevada is still dark in the Hot States Map above, though, and rates could rebound once as volumes rise along the Gulf Coast. Reno to Seattle was down 40¢ for an average of $2.27 The lane from Las Vegas to Phoenix lost 57¢ at $2.57 Las Vegas to Salt Lake City also tumbled 62¢ at $1.73 per mile.
