October Flatbed Rates Were Highest of the Year

Atlanta rates were down in general, but the lane to Baltimore climbed to $2.95/mile Flatbed rates were down out of a handful of Sunbelt markets: Atlanta, Savannah, Fort Worth, and Phoenix. The biggest declines for the month were on lanes out of Raleigh and Baltimore. Roanoke, VA, to Harrisburg, PA, surged to $3.41/mile.

Rebuilding Efforts Fuel Flatbed Demand

Flatbed Markets Continue to Boom

Last week, flatbed volumes surged 10% higher, led by Houston, Fort Worth and Cleveland. The oil industry has also fueled the Texas markets: Rates were higher last week out of Dallas and Fort Worth , while Houston held firm. Roanoke to Baltimore soared to $3.58/mile. And there are no signs of a slowdown.
