Las Vegas to Sacramento averaged $3.19/mile. Atlanta rates were down in general, but the lane to Baltimore climbed to $2.95/mile Flatbed rates were down out of a handful of Sunbelt markets: Atlanta, Savannah, Fort Worth, and Phoenix. The biggest declines for the month were on lanes out of Raleigh and Baltimore.

California is also hot for reefers, with rates trending up in Ontario and Sacramento. Rates are up for flatbeds in some Sun Belt markets, particularly Jacksonville in the Southeast, Dallas and neighboring Fort Worth, plus Phoenix. Rates are up in some Sun Belt markets, however, including Dallas and Fort Worth.

The big Texas markets, primarily Houston , but also Dallas and Fort Worth , continue to be stable and reliable sources of flatbed loads. Rates from Sacramento to Los Angeles rose by double digits, in both directions last week, to a roundtrip average of $2.15 Reefers Gear Up for Produce Season.
