Reefer rates out of Miami also surged, and the lane to Baltimore added 54¢ to an average of $2.28/mile. California lane rates had some dramatic increases: Sacramento to Portland, OR, soared 91¢ to $3.78/mile. The lane from Dallas to Denver shot up 53¢, to $2.58/mile. Ontario to Seattle was up another 62¢ to $3.62/mile.

to Portland, OR was up 45¢ to $3.33/mile. Sacramento to Portland added 50¢ to 3.21/mile. Miami to Baltimore was down 33¢ to $2.28/mile. A few lanes out of California crossed the $3 mark: The biggest jump in price was on the lane from Fresno to Denver , which surged 61¢ to $3.14/mile.

Los Angeles rates were generally down, but the lane to Portland, OR, averaged $3.44/mile, The biggest drop last week was on the lane from Lakeland, FL, to Baltimore , which dropped 69¢ to $2.23/mile. Reefer volumes also rose sharply on the lane from Philadelphia to Columbus , and the average rate rose 42¢ to $2.97/mile.

Los Angeles to Portland, OR, tumbled 50¢ to $4.18/mile. Miami to Baltimore dropped 99¢ to $2.39/mile. Miami, Denver, Sacramento and Lakeland, FL , all experienced sharp drops last week. Denver to Salt Lake City plunged 79¢ to $1.92/mile mile – high rates in Denver typically don’t last long.

Sacramento to Portland, OR , spiked 61¢ up to $3.47/mile. The lane to Baltimore lost 37¢ at just $1.30/mile. All rates below include fuel surcharges and are based on real transactions between brokers and carriers. There were some crazy-high rates last week, with shippers rushing to get stores stocked ahead of Thanksgiving.

Lakeland to Baltimore surged 40¢ to $2.68/mile Sacramento to Portland, OR was up 32¢ to $2.77/mile. Miami started to fade last week, but high demand out of Lakeland in Central Florida kept outbound rates in the state from falling too much. mile on average. Miami to Baltimore also jumped up 21¢ to $1.75/mile. Out West, Sacramento to Portland gained 22¢ to $2.44/mile. Shipments out of the Santa Maria District also pushed rates up out of the Fresno market. Rates from Miami to Elizabeth, NJ , were up 32¢ to $1.91/mile.
