The Super Bowl is in Atlanta this year, on the first weekend in February, and lanes to Dallas (Cowboys) and Philadelphia (Eagles) were among the leaders in rate increases.

Spot Truckload Rates Continue a Slow-and-Steady Climb

Dallas, Philadelphia and Stockton, CA , each posted the biggest gains in terms of outbound rates, so the gains weren’t tied to any specific region. mile, up 14¢ Dallas to Denver rose 11¢ to $1.94/mile. Memphis to Dallas also dippedâ–¼9¢ to $2.09/mile. One more 9¢ drop: Denver to Albuquerque fell to $1.66/mile.

L.A. freight gets a tailwind from hurricanes and typhoons

Nogales, AZ , had been a hot market in recent weeks as a gateway for Mexican produce, but prices plunged last week: the lane to Dallas dropped 86¢ to $2.51/mile. Miami to Baltimore fell another 50¢ to $1.62/mile. Philly to Buffalo dropped 32¢ to $2.42/mile.
